EMSC Publications and Resources

The EMSC NRC maintains a comprehensive database of EMSC publications that have been created using federal funds. Most of the publications are available free of charge. In addition, the EMSC NRC publishes a biweekly newsletter, a collection of toolboxes and podcasts, and provides online training opportunities and webinars.

The EMSC NRC maintains a comprehensive database of EMSC publications, including resources targeting professionals of prehospital and hospital care, disaster preparedness, school health, data/research, and public policy/legislation. Spanish resources are also available. Most publications are available free of charge.


Each toolbox addresses a specific pediatric health care topic and features resources for the healthcare provider as well as for parents and caregivers, a pre-populated PubMed search string, and a section on “Example/Model Practices.”

Online Training

The EMSC Program offers flexible, pediatric-focused training online that is convenient and available 24 hours a day to meet the participant’s lifestyle. In general, the courses are all self-paced and should take approximately 30 to 90 minutes to complete, depending on the course selected.


EMSC QuickNews is an electronic biweekly digest of program news and activities. Each issue includes a wealth of information about the pediatric emergency medical care community. Subscriptions are free. Sign up today!


The EMSC NRC has produced several podcasts, including a series of podcasts called iPEMS and a second series known as iAdvocate. iPEMS targets medical students, residents, and fellowship trainees. iAdvocate focuses on the public policy process.
