EMSC National Heroes Awards
In 1998, the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) established the EMSC National Heroes Awards to recognize and reward outstanding achievement in EMSC and to encourage continued excellence in the field. In 2012, the Program held its first EMSC Recognition Awards. The purpose of the Recognition Awards is to call some well-deserved attention to individuals within EMSC who, throughout the award year, went above and beyond to provide advice, inspiration, and leadership in grant-related matters. An awards ceremony was not held in 2011 and 2013.
